You don't have to try to 'fit'. . . . . . . . . .

My 96-year-old neighbour grows his own fruits and vegetables. Nurturing them tenderly day after day, his garden gifts bountiful arrays of goodies. From rich, leafy greens, to pastel pinks and purples. Right now, it’s prime tomato period. My absolute favourite time.
The tomatoes intrigue me. Varying shades of yellows, reds and oranges. Huge, beef tomatoes, shiny and strong. Sweet and tangy cherry tomatoes, bursting with flavour. The tomatoes don’t all look the same. They aren’t always circular or spherical (as we are commonly led to believe). Some are egg shaped, heart shaped, some almost rectangular.
Sometimes, from sight and touch alone, I can decide which ones I’ll eat on the spot, which I’ll add to salads and which I’ll blend into soups or other sauces. They all bring something to the table that’s neither less nor more than one another.
Tomatoes have little notion of their own uniqueness being in any way ‘bad’, ‘not enough’, ‘too much’, ‘too little’ or so on.
The tomatoes simply exist exactly as they are.
They have their own flavour – each one different (and they’re okay with that).
They don’t try to be anything they’re not.
Whatever your human shape, size, flavour, colour, way of being (and so forth), please know that you belong in this world exactly as you are.
I know it hasn’t been easy for you and that you’ve been told that you should shift and alter, duplicate, imitate, change your shape, leave a different taste.
You don’t.
You were designed just as you are, with unique gifts, presentations, lights and darks that are fully yours for a reason. They are there to be experienced, shared and embodied.
Your uniqueness is where the gems lie.
It’s where the magic is.
Step into it………………………………………….
Be a little more tomato 😉
